Daily rituals get all the attention. Weekly structure is where most performance gains actually come from.
Design the week, not the day
Pick three buckets each week:
- Deep work — the long blocks where high-output thinking happens
- Admin/reactive — meetings, email, coordination
- Recovery — sleep, training, time outside, social
Defend each bucket on the calendar before the week starts.
Energy rhythm
Most people's cognitive peak is the first 2–4 hours of the morning. Stack deep work there. Stack admin in the afternoons when energy dips.
Recovery as scheduling
Most people leave recovery to whatever's left over. Reverse it. Sleep window first. Training time next. Then fit work around the recovery scaffold.
Why this compounds
One well-structured week of 35 actual hours beats five chaotic 60-hour weeks. Output isn't linear with time.
MHODE ON supports the deep-work blocks. MHODE OFF supports the recovery side.
